Recently, The Washington Center’s Academic Internship Program (TWC) sent a letter of congratulations to congratulate Wei Wei, a 2015 student from JUFE’s International College, on being awarded a full scholarship for the LEAD program this autumn after several rounds of selection tests and interviews. This is the sixth year that an International College student has been chosen by TWC. Previously, most students who have attended the TWC program went on to attend top international universities such as Columbia University and University of Cambridge for further education after graduation. All this not only reflects the achievements of our International College which has been devoted to establishing high-quality overseas internship platforms, but also displays the strengths of JUFE students; demonstrating JUFE’s internationalized education level and quality and enhancing JUFE’s international reputation.

In April of this year, the International College was entrusted with a notice from TWC to recommend excellent students to attend their program beginning in the autumn of 2018. Through careful selection, two students from the International College were selected to attend the final interviews. Wei Wei emerged as the best candidate while competing against university students from India, Brazil, Mexico, etc. and received a full scholarship. Wei Wei is an outstanding student in terms of academic study, personal quality and comprehensive abilities. He previously received the third national prize in the Global Management Challenge (GMC), published a paper in a national journal, and owns a national patent for appearance.

The Washington Center’s Academic Internship Program (TWC), established in 1975, is a non-profit organization. Its main goal is to help university students from America and other nations to intern in all types of enterprises throughout the Washington DC area, and it offers study chances for academic courses. After their internship, students can transfer the credits they received from the TWC courses to their original universities. The number of graduates from current TWC programs is over 40,000. TWC cooperates with thousands of enterprises throughout Washington DC, including government departments, non-profit organizations, and transnational corporations.
