Dean's Message
Since its establishment in 2002, the International College has been the “advanced force” of JUFE’s internationalized education. With the joint efforts of several generations of leadership teams over the past 19 years, the education quality of the International College has continuously improved and has played an instrumental role in demonstrating and leading JUFE’s internationalized education.
Each year, approximately 40% of students at the International School choose to pursue postgraduate studies, out of which nearly 30% of them chose to go overseas to further their studies. The target of the International School’s talent cultivation is to foster integrated financial talents with international vision, global competence, and the qualities of “Honesty, Vitality, Integrity and Tenacity”.
Studying and living at the International College is a very enriching experience. In terms of English language learning, we adopt small-size classrooms for English courses, and we hire professional teachers to improve students' English writing and oral expression skills. We also provide various learning clubs, English corner activities, and other activities to lay a solid foundation for teaching all-English professional courses.
In terms of academic training, we have designed talent training programs while maintaining the standards of prestigious overseas universities in mind; this, in order to promote the internationalization and diversification of curriculum settings. The majors of the International College have been accredited by the Chartered Financial Analyst Institute and CPA Australia respectively. We have hired high-quality teachers from home and abroad, and we use teaching models such as the flipped classroom and LECTURE + TUTORIAL (large class teaching + small-size class tutoring). At the same time, we have supported academic societies such as mathematical economics groups and economic and management laboratories to help students improve their academic and subject practice skills.
In terms of social practice, we have initiated the “UP Plan” by hiring successful social figures from all walks of life to serve as tutors and have assigned them to all classes of the International School. The tutors take students to relevant enterprises and institutions to participate in social practice and observation, thus helping students understand the society and the workplace in advance, and the words and deeds of the tutors can also facilitate the improvement of the overall qualities of the students.
Student activities are diverse at the International College. We have abundant activity platforms such as the International Culture Festival and Chinese Traditional Culture Research Society to help students get training and improvement in cross-cultural exchanges. We also have the "Internet +", the "Challenge Cup", the "Creation Youth", the GMC, and other major domestic and foreign competitions, and we hope that our students can use these competitions to promote learning and win awards. Finally, we have various domestic and foreign summer camps and summer school programs to help students enrich their learning experience and improve their competitiveness for further education and employment.
Talent cultivation is an all-around structure that requires the joint efforts of teachers and students. I hope that students of the International College of JUFE can fully experience the learning journey of "civilized by culture, nurtured by aesthetics, and shaped by morality" and improve their independent learning and lifelong learning skills. Through learning, scientific research, competition and practice, students at JUFE’s International School can build their own knowledge structures by themselves.
